The area - Philip Drive is a quiet, old Barbadian neighborhood with beautiful Coral stone homes set among some big old trees. In the immediate area you will find the residences of the Governor General of Barbados, the Central Bank Governor, the British High Commissioner, the Canadian High Commissioner, as well as homes of many leading business people and heads of international agencies. The Canadian High Commission is also in the area. Pine gardens is an upscale community of large, heritage type properties. It is very close to the main town called Bridgetown where you can find the hustle and bustle of the city with it's many duty free shops. It is very close to Belleville where there are many doctors and dentists offices and an Emergency Medical Centre. The US Embassy is also 5 mins away should you have any business there. It is 5 minutes away from our popular crystal clear South Coast beaches. Nothing is far from Philip drive.
You can take a short walk to the beach or you can take the bus to go to other beaches and attractions on the South Coast. The bus stop is just 10 mins walk from the cottage. There is a different bus stop 10 min walk to go to the West Coast of the island. Alternatively, we recommend a reliable taxi service or a car rental service which will deliver the car to the residence and drop off at the airport, which is approximately 15 mins away.
Guest access - The Cottage and it's patio, 40 ft. pool, laundry room, fully equipped gym, gazebo, wireless internet are all for the guests to use. Guests do not have access to the outdoor kitchen or the jacuzzi as these are for the use of the homeowners.
